This year we will continue our regular events, as well as add a few new ones. In addition, after numerous recommendations from customers, we have added seminars taught by experts from our area.

Gift Baskets: Begonia and Fuchsia baskets are nice! Fuchsias look great but remember they are sensitive to direct sun light and require daily watering.

June 5th Cooking with Herbs & Come Garden With Us: 9:00 AM Gardening and Cooking With Herbs
Speaker: Bonni Miller, Cook and Owner of Chez Marche Cafe
Bonni will provide you with information on how people can grow and use all the herbs now available, as well as answers any questions you may have. She will cover:
Picking the right place for an herb garden
Growing herbs
Cooking with herbs
Making your own herbal teas
Using herbs in other ways, such as medicinal and insect repellants.

Kids, our annual planting event continues! This is your chance to go to the field and plant your own pumpkin plant. Return during the growing season to check on the plant and then come harvest a pumpkin in October! Please let us know you are coming!
June 18th-20th: Waupaca's Strawberry Fest & Turner's Strawberry Days
June 19th-20th 8 AM - 5 PM Strawberry Days' Activities At Turners: Pick-your-own strawberries, kids pictures taken with their berry smile, photo contest, and chocolate covered berries.
June 20th Happy Fathers Day! We'll have a special strawberry treat for dad!
Speaker: Henry's Honey & The American Honey Princess
Join us in welcoming the 2010 American Honey Princess in a day celebrating honey and bees. Activities will include: cooking demonstrations, uses of honey, importance of honey bees, coloring contest for kids, and other fun activities!

Speaker: Marilyn Herman, Waupaca County Extension
Learn how to keep all these beautiful fruits and veggies for winter eating! Marilyn will discuss and demonstrate:
- Keeping nutritional value
- Special dietary needs
- Baby food
- The fun of dehydrated snacks
- How to use the food after it has been canned, frozen, or dehydrated
Following the demonstration, Marilyn will safety test your canner, so bring it along!
August 21st & 22nd Watermelon Weekend
Come out to the farm and taste our different varities of melons including: Packer Melons: Green on the outside, gold on the inside, seeded
Sangria: Old standard favorite, seeded
Cannonball/Imagination: Black on the outside, deep red on the inside. Distinctive flavor. Favorite seedless variety.
Millionaire: dense flesh, sweet!, Seedless.

Come out and get your last taste of this season's corn! There will also be a sampling of our best Amish products and salsas.
